There are 35 biomes in Pokerogue. Each biome has a different Pokémon, Trainer, and Dojo Master, and each is connected to a different biome. The Abyss biome is always at night during the game, regardless of the previous biomes time change, a feature that gives the Abyss biomes a unique atmosphere and challenge.Levels will encounter a boss fight divided into two stages. In Classic Mode and Daily Run, the biomes change every 10 waves, while in Endless Mode, the biomes change randomly every 1 to 4 waves.

There are a total of five levels of rarity, and each wave is determined by rolling a random number from 1 to 512. At this time, if there is a luck value, the maximum value of this random number is reduced by twice the luck value. If the maximum luck level, the SSS level, or the luck value is 14 points, the maximum random number is 484, which is 512 minus 28, which is twice 14. As a result, the probability of occurrence of ordinary grade Pokemon decreases, while the probability of occurrence of relatively high rarity Pokemon increases.
